“Rat Cremation Ritual on September 29, 2013 at Ababi Village, Karangasem, Bali, Indonesia. The Rat Cremation ritual locally known as Ngaben Jro Ketut is held every 10 year as the villagers of Ababi Village feels that their rice yield worsening due to the attack of rats. Balinese Hindu believe through this ritual, rats will not attack their rice field anymore and the spirit of dead rats would be guided to the after life and granted them a better life as they reincarnated to be better creature depend on their deed.”
